KLCI +10.28pts 1030.09 (highest in 9yrs) in heavy trade after yesterday's mild correction. Bullish underlying sentiment with heavy interest in retail-favored stocks. Government-linked construction stocks up sharply on buying interest from both foreign and local funds.

Low, the former executive chairman of Repco Holdings, was charged in 1999 under section 84(1) of the Securities Industry Act 1983 for the manipulation of Repco Holdings shares. However, Low was acquitted by the Sessions Court on Nov 14, without his defence being called. The judge, Akhtar Tahir, said on Nov 14 the prosecution failed to prove that Low had instructed a dealer's representative to purchase Repco shares at any offer price. (Full Report)
