`Con'solidate

Malaysia shares end +0.4% at 1278.27 in heavy volume, retreating from intraday high of 1292.20 as profit-taking into strength pared gains, say dealers. Market breadth stayed positive with gainers trumping decliners 531 to 315. KLCI likely to continue consolidating within 1266-1296 range tomorrow. Investors sold into strength, taking advantage of the early rise in share price and pretty much tracking movements in regional bourses. Foreign funds were the key catalysts in paring open positions and this had a trickle-down effect.
