KLCI ended down 1% at 1057.23 from intraday high of 1065.33 in heavy volume of 1.04 billion shares with losers outnumbering gainers almost 4-to-1; bargain hunting on blue chips and strong quarterly results from MAS may help KLCI reverse some losses tomorrow, possibly retest psychological resistance at 1060. Weak Asian markets, following sharp declines in U.S. stocks overnight, weighed on the market. The pullback has been long overdue after almost three weeks of strong gains. Host of penny stocks, small caps posted double digit losses in percentage terms as retail players locked-in profits and stayed on sidelines.

FAQ 3

There was an interesting question e-mailed to me yesterday.
Dr. Karena wrote:

"It seems that Ur Cap Ayam indicators largely based on Fibonacci Tools? Can Fibonacci Trading become Safer & Profitable?"

For me, since I'm a swing/short term trader - Timing is the most crucial element in trading. It is important to know what and when to buy. All the Fibonacci signals is the result from geometrical interpretation of market price patterns. All the Fibonacci mechanism are based on understanding of investors' behavior expressed in TOP and BOTTOM formations.

The most beautiful things about Fibonacci is that, in certain instances, Fibonacci can forecast trend changes in PRICE and TIME. However forecasting in this way, does not mean we can say in advance whether a turning point is going to be triggered, but if a precalculated price target is reached, we can safely act accordingly.

Working with Fibonacci actually is very easy than it seems to be, it only takes nothing more than swing highs and lows and the GOLDEN RATIO. The greatest difficulty is choosing correct swing highs or lows.

Using the Fibonacci tools will not ensure that we never suffer losing trades, but we can expect the majority of trades to be profitable.

Cheers,
TS

The bulls continued to charge forward, spurred by encouraging economic-stimulating news on the home front and positive leads from abroad, such as the strong performance of regional exchanges, Wall Street's sustainable rally and plummeting global crude oil prices. Profit-taking activity appears well absorbed and any pullback is brief and shallow. The prevailing underlying tone of the local bourse is extremely upbeat. Given the positive developments in the US, Bursa Malaysia may just extend the upward thrust in the immediate term, with sporadic profit taking along the way. After all, technical indicators are still painting a promising picture. We had seen some sideways trading on Friday but volume remained strong -- there had been a mixture of both local and foreign funds buying. However early next week, trading is likely to turn relatively quiet after the three-day-long UMNO (ruling United Malays National Organization) general assembly ended.
